Nice old fashioned hotel
Compared to the Vegas like appearance of most of the hotels the Mandarin is an oasis in Macau. The only thing (as a business traveller) that was poor wass the internet spped which is apparently a Macau thing rather than the specific hotel

Good Location - Terrible Service
Visited Macau numerous times, however I won’t be staying at this hotel ever again. Although the location is excellent for those coming in on a Ferry, the manager was totally unresponsive to a theft that occurred. Be careful contracting services with the concierge, seems there is a high turnover of staff and they are not very experienced.

Quality Service without the glitz
Couldn’t fault the service at the hotel. The staff were polite attentive and made every effort to please the customer. The rooms were clean and even little things like laying out our own toiletries in the bathroom just took that little bit of effort. The staff then excelled themselves when we got stranded because of a typhoon and organised our alternative flights without extra charge and even went and got replacement ferry tickets. Food in "cafe" was very good quality both for breakfast (although slightly pricey)and evening meal. From what we could see of Macau this is a very casino orientated city some hotels very over the top but this was comfort in a cosy Portugese style tastfully done. Probably won’t go back to Macau but if anyone asked would recommend this hotel.
