Make sure you get a refurbished room
We booked an executive double doubleroom through expedia and were given room 315 which had premier executive room on the door.the room was huge but after a few minutes we noticed the window was not closed and the noise of the wind coming whistling through was very loud.then we noticed all of the surfaces were dusty, some were even sticky. The carpet had stains all overit and the furniture looked like it had come from a charity shop.we had stayed in the Thistle three times before and never had cause to complain however this room was not what we expected.I phoned reception and complained,a spervisor phoned me back and said someone would come up with the keyfor a new room.A few minutes later a staff member arrived and asked if we needed help repacking. We had not unpacked so we set off to the sixth floor and room 621.This was a great room with mod cons and a lovel bathroom and seperate shower. We did not have breakast in the hotel as the Fazzi restaurant across the street does a full breakfast for under a fiver.Parking is free if you are in an executive room which is a great bonus. The location is ideal for shopping and theatres. The thistle website stated there were no rooms available but expedia got us what we wanted.
Have breakfast at Fazzi restaurant across the street.Visit Kelvingrove museum, free admission

Best hotel Ive stayed in on business
Really good, clean, quiet hotel in Glasgow. A little bit of a walk from the main city centre but I think it probably benefitted from that in terms of peace and quiet. My room had a blind and curtains which made it nice and dark. Bathroom clean and functional. Bed very comfy and nice quality bedlinen. The swimming pool was a bonus too and breakfast (though not included in my room rate) was really good. I would definitely stay again - really good price and great - and unexpected - to get such a good nights sleep away from home.

leisure trip to glasgow for a night out
hotel is situated right in the city centre, staff were friendly enough, hotel is beautiful inside! rooms were clean and comfortable, didnt use the pool or any other kind of activity but would stay again.
hotel is right in the city centre, ideal for shopping on sauchiehall street where all the big shops are, and the shopping centre. Only a 10min walk to the popular lively pubs and clubs :)
