Great for the price
This hotel seems brand new. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is joined to a large shopping centre. But it is not noisy. The location is at the end of the tram line (number 8) and convenient to get back into the centre of Basel. The hotel gives you a tram pass for entire stay, so dont do what I did and buy a weekly pass. Just buy a single to the hotel. I was very happy with the price and quality of the hotel.
The bus (number 50) from the airport to the central train station is free if you show the driver that you have booked a hotel. Not sure if he cared either way, but apparently that is the deal. Then walk to the trams and catch number 8 to the hotel stop (cant remember the name, but it started with a K,and was long, and is the end of the line).
