Beautiful Hotel
Carlton-Europe is made up of two older hotels joined by a common lobby. We were in the Carlton wing. If arriving in Interlaken by train, get off at the Interlaken Ost station: the hotel is a two minute walk form the Ost station but 10 minutes from Interlaken West. I really liked this hotel. As an older hotel, each room (as well as each floor) is slightly different. Ours was of good size (for a European hotel). The bathroom was tiny but functional. The hotel is away from the hustle and noise of "downtown" Interlaken. About the only downside to the hotel was its proximity to a church whose bells rang on the hour throughout the night. However, I recommend this hotel without reservation.
