Good Hotel

The strongest point about this hotel is the food and staff. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room’s decor need a little updating and the heat in the room didn’t work, but the staff were quick to send up a heater as we requested. Their afternoon tea service was excellent - one service is good enough for two people so the price works out fairly in the end. Overall, a good stay.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Nice drapes

The second room we were given had the advantage of a bathroom without green and black mold on the ceiling and while the night of an England v. France rugby match was probably not the best to choose for a good night’s sleep, this is a hotel in which noise carries. It is a place that I would like to think has seen better days, but as it appears to have cast off any sense of faded charm in the 1970s, this is not necessarily a great comfort to today’s guest.
