Lovely hotel in a nice location
Struggling to find anything wrong with this hotel! errr the view wasn’t very good out the back, everything else was top notch. Only ate breakfast and that was good & size large. Across the road from Liedesplein & handy for Heineken & Bols tours.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Don’t worry about the city tax it’s only a fiver a night. Book through this site and proper breakfast is included, which means you can eat enough to keep you going ’til your evening meal ; ) You wouldn’t want to pay the the menu price though 25euros/person!

This hotel offers free coffee and hot tea in the lobby every morning. Load up and they are decent. Unlike American hotels, European hotels usually don’t have coffee maker in the rooms.

Best hotel around Leidsche Plein area
You have the choise of 4 hotels around the square, all 4-5 star and i have tried them all, the Marriott is by far the best. Comfortable beds and proven, standard rooms. The Park hotel’s rooms are horrible and cheaply furnished (and more expensive) while in the Americain htl its always a gamble what kind of room you get, super small or large!
at 300 meters from the hotel on the corner of the P.C. Hoofdstraat (best shopping in Amsterdam) you will find Indonesian restaurant Sama Sebo, small, intimate and perfect kitchen for the past 40 years.
