Very Unique exprience
The hotel is located in the tropical forest. You can watch animals ( monkeys, barans, squirrels, flying monkeys, flying foxes- never know they even exist)while sitting at your terrasse. It was a little bit humid in the room, but cleaning lady did her best to keep the room well maintained. Hotel personnel was expremely attentive and polite. Nice food- bothe eastern and european, beatiful location, good beach. Very nice spa Free excursion through the hotel rainforest with watching animals is highly recommended to attend
It appeared cheaper to go with taxi drive instead of excursion. Change money in the airport- better exchange rate

Berjaya
Thanks to expedia we were able to book the Berjaya hotel in langkawi at a lower cost and just 10 days before the trip. The berjaya hotel is a good place to stay but is very far off from the city. The hotel was reasonably maintained but their room service was very worst. Alll the major attractions except the cable car and 7 wells are far off from the hotel so we ended up going to the city everyday. We had lots of fun on the berjaya beach though. But the water sports activities was little costly and also they had some problems with the parasailing, so we went to a local operator named SPA. Overall we enjoyed the trip a lot.

Not fantastic
- medicore service - very old rooms - stain on bedroom walls and bathroom walls, noisy air-con, bed bugs - couldn’t sleep on the first night, had to use insect repellant to get a good night sleep, bathroom decor is very basic - deluxe chalet has no seaview as they claimed - inconvenient to get to and from room by buggy
