convenient and affordable
very affordable and convenient location. this is my first choice and usually have no problems with this hotel but this last time, there was little to no hot water. i still would choose this hotel when visiting the big island.

It was what was expected
The hotel was everything we needed. No frills, just exactly what we expected. Would stay there again if in the area.
Try to go to Hawaii for at least two weeks and go to different Islands. We went to Oahu, Big Island and Maui. Try to save the most days for Maui

Good location
Although not nearly as posh as the hotel’s website makes it appear, it is in a good location. You have to be in the Garden wing to potentially get a view of the ocean. Rooms are simple, but clean. It’s ~ 1 block off the main shopping/restaurant street along the Kona waterfront. It’s also ~ 1 block from the Island Breeze luau at the King Kamehameha.
