Sleek and contemporary

Newly opened this year the Gale Lagos lives up to it’s image of a modern contemporary hotel. It’s sleek contemporary look borders on clinical, particularly in the reception area. Nice pool area maintains the "look" within manicured lawns and olive trees. Plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day, so no early monring rush! Excellent facilities but let down by the dining arrrangements. Good breakfast buffet, but dinner buffet in main restaurant is standard fare, and the "a la carte" restaurant feels "unloved". We tried to eat in there one evening, but it was un-manned and after waiting 15 minutes for someone to take our order, we gave up and joined to masses for the buffet. We ate out for the rest of our stay!!

A two minute drive to the marina and eat at Do Cais

Best in the aera

we are regular visitors to Lagos and from now on this is the only hotel we will stay at.

Local beach restaurants are as good as going into the main town.

excellent brand new beach hotel that i would recommend to anyone

We have just returned after having spent a long weekend at the hotel. We had visited it in July whilst we were in Lagos .It is absolutely brand new, immaculately clean and extremely modern in design. It is set about 400 m away from the Meia Praia beach with its many inviting beach bars. Only Bad Point!!On arrival there were 4 staff at reception but I wasnt acknowledged even though there was only 1 other customer which was not a good reflection as reception is obviously the first impression of service. When I was greeted , service was efficient and pleasant. Our room was land facing very spacious modern and comfortable. It was fairly quiet . Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice for all tastes. The restaurant was lovely and the service was excellent. Lots of sun beds available and peaceful. Childrens play area, putting for golfers and along with gym and spa facilities. It has car parking although theres a local bus service. The hotel is a bit out from the town but you can walk or alternatively a taxi is about 4 euros. Also for golfers the Palmares course is only about 1 mile further out from the hotel. You are also not that far away from the marina and then the town is just over the bridge. We absolutely loved the hotel and will definitely love to go back. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone. A very welcome addition to Lagos!!!

To really appreciate everything about Lagos I would firstly recommend you take a seaview room or one of the suites. Secondly, the setting of the hotel being the beach, you need to explore the town because its something else! Its not as touristy as say Albufeira but theres plenty for everyone. Tourist maps of the town which advertise different restaurants are available everywhere. Lots of lovely restaurants but one highlight is the Bahia Beach Bar on Sunday night with live music.
