great if you wnat a kitchen and good location
The hotel service is OK; not great and nothing exceptional but nothing to complain about. Its clean and fairly well maintained. The rooms are great if you are traveling and like to have a kitchen and living room with a separate bedroom. The bed linens and blankets need major improvement, i have stayed over here probably 12 or more times and thats always an issue. The re is a very good contemporary restaurant off the lobby and a gym with steam room plus a spa.

Not Impressed
The staff at the hotel was the only bright spot. The bed was awful, the elevators worked at will and the hotel has no fire sprinklers, that tells you how old this place was. We were under the impression that this was a new hotel. Not the case, the owners are fairly new and thats it. It cost $ 21. a day to park. When you would leave the parking door would not open, you had to get out of your car and jump on the cable to get the door to open. We would never, never stay here again and quite frankly staying away from downtown is your best bet as traffic is a BEAR!!! The hotel is quite pricey for what you get.

Nice Hotel
The hotel is in the middle of Vancouvers gay village but this shouldnt put anyone off as its a great location for exploring the city and is next to numerous places to eat and drink. We had an apartment with a balcony which overlooked the sea and mountains, which was amazing, however the only criticism of the room was the tiny bathroom. My other criticism of the hotel itself, was that the staff didnt seem very knowledgeable. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
I would recommend picking up one of the free local entertainment papers (i.e. Straight) from one of the many vending machines in the street as they include discount vouchers, reviews and listings. If you are using a guidebook, ensure its up to date as you may find a few of the restaurants/bars/clubs no longer exist (as I did!).
