Will be going back in August
I wanted a romantic country house and gardens to take my wife for a weekend. Tlyney Hall surpassed all my expectations. Stunning buildings and wonderful gardens to walk around. Fabulous communal areas to relax and have afternoon tea. The restaurant was of a very good standard too - we had breakfast both days, some room service and one evening we had a 3 course dinner in the Oak room (don’t forget your smart clothes!), all food we had was of a very good standard. Staff were very welcoming and rooms were comfortable and clean with a good sized bath - we had the Deluxe Room. Only things I could fault were an over-zealous cleaner vacumming the corridor outside our room at 8.30am Saturday morning when we were trying to have a lie in. Also the TV had a poor selection of channels and was an old CRT, would have expected a plasma from a hotel of this quality................but it probably made us use the communal areas and walk around the grounds more than we would have - and the walks around the grounds are pretty fabulous. All in all, wish all the hotels I have to travel to with work (usually 5* properties in S.E. Asia, Europe and US) were as good as Tlyney Hall. Fabulous weekend!
Don’t forget your swimming costume and fitness gear as there is a great outdoor heated pool as well as gym.

Nicely done
Beautiful structure and excellent grounds. It was a very quick trip for me, and I wished I could have made a couple of days of it. Only downside that I saw was a bit of a lack of professionalism among some of the young, immigrant hotel workers. Otherwise, great.
