A welcome respite in crowded Sultanhamet
I stayed a total of three nights in Istanbul, all at different hotels (on my own and on a tour), and this was the nicest by far. The comfortable bed was a welcome relief after staying at 7 other comparably-rated hotels throughout Turkey. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very quiet. Its a few minutes walk to the sights of Sultanhamet, but it is worth the walk to be away from the crowds and noise of the Sultanhamet area. The staff spoke good English and were incredibly helpful, and greeted me with a welcome drink. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I am in Istanbul.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
I agree with the previous review to take the Tramvay from the airport rather than paying for a taxi. When you get off the Tram at Gulhane, there is a sign on the building directly in front of you that points to the hotel - you cant miss it.

Highly recommended....
The Hotel is very new and has everything needed.Bed is very comfy and everything worked... the bathroom is big with a large shower. The staff cannot be faulted. Location of the hotel is close to 2 tram-stops, Gulhane and Sirkeci. Also only a few minutes walk to the St Sophia, blue mosque, roman cistern and the palace. We used the tram system to get around without any fuss. For any sport on TV, go to the North Shore pub just by the Gulhane Tram-stop - I managed to watch the 2009 B Lions lose to South Africa.....in the first rugby test.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
a shuttle from the airport will cost Euro20 one-way - rather take the train for TL 1.5 for a Jetton disc and then the tram also TL 1.5. The hotel is very close to Gulhane tram-stop. All public transport costs TL 1.5 Jetton, even the ferry to the asian side......
