Nice hotel; Billing Issue

The condition and comfort of the room was great. They have a nice little bar and restaurant in the hotel as well. The only problem we had was with billing. We booked through expedia and the hotel knew of this and told us we would not billed by the hotel, but in the morning a bill was slipped under our door. The front desk said not to worry about it, we would not be billed anything. A week later I check my credit card statement and what do you know, we were billed by the hotel. It took a day and a half to get in touch with the billing department after leaving multiple messages. The lady said she couldn’t understand the messages because they were breaking up, even though we called from a land line and it should have been clear. She also said she didn’t have a number to call us back because she couldn’t understand the name in the message to look up in the system (they do not have caller id?) Anyway, the charge was refunded but it was quite a hassle. I still gave the hotel a fairly good review because I think it was an accident, but it should not have happened.

Better than any other hotel in the area--and we’ve tried them all.

A very nice choice in the area. Plus the food in the dining room was great.
