Not Nice Beach
The hotel was basic, fairly clean, nice pool, minimal breakfast. A good bargain. Quiet area near a national park. The beach was uncrowded, but very trashy. Excellent beach-side shaded area for lounging, beautiful water. Town of Rayong has a great market. Not a fancy place, but hard to beat the price.
There are some great beachfront Thai seafood restaurants about a 5 minute drive west. Excellent food. Not fancy, but fun. During the day, there are food carts across the road with very good Thai style lunches and cold beverages. Thai prices, too!
