Great location!
This hotel sits right in the middle of a very entertaining part of Tallahassee. I enjoyed a pleasant stroll around the hotel and on Saturday and Sunday (November thru March, I believe) there is a neat little open air market set up in a park directly across from hotel’s main entrance. I had a great time there!

No Problems
We enjoyed the Tallahassee Doubletree. Historically it’s been tough in the past to find a decent hotel room in Tallahassee. This hotel, pool, grounds, are great and we had no problems. The garage was only a few steps away from the hotel elevators. The location in the middle of downtown was very convienient to FSU and everywhere we had to go. Other than some soiled carpet in the halls, I have no complaints at all. The staff were all very professional, friendly, and helpful. The warm cookie was an appreciated treat.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
This Doubletree is in downtown Tallahassee. We enjoyed walking around the area. It’s obvious the city has worked hard to improve downtown since I moved in 1982.

The desk staff is amazing - everything else... well...
We were so encouraged when we checked in. The front desk staff made us feel welcomed and were happy to accomodate our request for adjoining rooms. They told us that they would code our room keys so that, when we left the hotel early the next morning that we could use our key to get out of the garage and the fee would be transferred to the bill. Hold that thought.. I’ll come back to it. The rooms were clean, but aging. The TV reception was grainy. They sent engineering up, but he was unable to fix the problem. The pool was ok - nothing to write home about though. Luckily kids don’t really care as long as they have a pool. We went to the restaurant downstairs (Jacob’s) and the person seating us asked us if we would like a drink, but they couldn’t tell us what wines they had and no wine list was available. Our server was not prompt, the food took too long and wasn’t very good. Our server would remove glasses, but not any of the used plates. The following morning we had to leave the hotel at 6 AM. When we went to leave the parking facility, it would not only take our room key, as we were told it would, it the machine would not take any of our credit cards. Luckily we had cash on us or we would have been late for our race. The place was ok - but for the price, we expected a little more.
