Tired rooms and overpriced

We stayed at the Tower Hotel for 2 nights to attend a family wedding. We were offered an upgrade to an "executive room" for 10 pound per person/night which appeared to be good value. However, the room was pretty much what i would expect of a standard room in any other hotel. The room was tired and in need of a refit. The bed was rock hard and about as comfortable as sleeping on the floor. Had we have been their for a longer period i would have requested to be moved. I did complain when we left but there was a long queue to checkout so i didn’t persue a refund although with hindsight i should have.

Don’t eat in the hotel as if you cross the river there are a lot of nice places to eat around Butlers Wharf. Borough Market is also worth a visit for fresh produce and just a walk around to savour the smells of cheeses etc.

Excellent choice for a weekend away

Excellent hotel for a week or weekend away. Very close to Londons top attractions and with brilliant location on the River Thames. Hotel staff very polite and helpful. Room very comfortable and surprisingly large for the price.
