Great place to stay in Buffalo
The Honu House on Elmwood Avenue is a wonderful place to stay to get the "flavor" of neighborhood life in Buffalo. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The innkeeper is most gracious and a very interesting woman to talk with. Be advised that breakfast, other than coffee and a pastry, is not included in the price. Arrangements can be made with the innkeeper to have breakfast for an additional charge if desired. There are plenty of choices in the Elmwood neighborhood for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Wonderful Staycation
We had a lovely evening on the Elmwood strip in Buffalo. We are from the suburbs of Buffalo and decided to have an adult evening away from home without our daughter. This inn was comfortable, clean, close to nightlife and great restaurants. The first thing I did was take a bath in the super giant jacuzzi tub in the Master Suite. I was in the tub for two hours and if I hadnt done anything else, I would have been completely content! Mom and daughter Inn owners were wonderfully friendly and completely unobtrusive (as many B&B owners can be.) The room was quite, though there was some street noise. Over all a wonderful stay and we will definitely do it again!

A touch of home
Remember this is not a hotel. Its a B&B. So forget the wide screen TV and the anticeptic hallways. This is a home. Warm. Comfortable. Friendly. The floors creak (just a little). The artwork is not from a catalogue. Think of it as going to see grandma but without having to put up with obnoxious uncle Joe who makes you feel like a heel because you dared to move more than two blocks away.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Make sure to stop in at "Talking Leaves" bookstore and pick up some bedtime reading. Get a cup of coffee at the coffee shop next store and ask about the Indian restaurant that has an all-you-can-eat-buffet for lunch. A delicious bargain.
