Not Impressed
The stay was nice,but we had problems with ants, and when moved to another room the air conditioner made a loud noise. We were moved again and that room was okay. I have been in much much better La Quinta Inns and I would not recommend to anyone. The places I have stayed in Cocoa Beach, Florida has a similar smell to them, maybe due to the humidity.

Better than expected!
having read mixed reviews I can honestly say the La Quinta Inn was better than expected. We had room 134 overlooking the pool area. Two comfy large beds, Cable TV/Microwave/Fridge. The room was very clean and well kept. Free wi-fi internet is available thrroughout the hotel which was nice, as it worked in the rooms and down by the pool. Free breakfast was on offer every morning which was a big perk for us being on a budget. Good selection of food and never too busy so you could always get what you wanted. Location is good for the beach - just use the footpath that cuts through the Holiday Inn Resort directly oposite (they encourage this as Holiday Inn have beachside bar "mambo’s" along this path so allowing access brings in trade. The other bar at Holiday Inn "commanders club" also did a great steak.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
The hotels onsite sports bar "Time Out" has the best HD TV screens for sports that i have ever seen, several other customers also commented on this point. Bargain beer from just $2 a pint and frindly service. highly recommended.

Great place to stay and clean!!!
At first we were shocked by how low the "high" setting of the air conditioner was and called maintanence to come. We couldn’t wait around so checked next door room and same thing. So it’s normal. Just keep temp and 9 and you’ll eventually freeze anyway ha! Ice machines are not convienient to rooms and candy machines were out of CHOCOLATE. Breakfast was very very crowded, so be early!!!! No sitting room, not even outside. Good fresh food and caring staff. Hotel is not close to water as it’s on the other side of A1. The Holiday Inn across the street is like a giant party with kid slides and bands etc. but it’s not as nice and clean etc. But it does have a hot tub. This hotel is perfect if you don’t party much.
Bring conditioner for your hair, didn’t have that but a sign in room says if you forgot anything to go to front desk for complimentary items!
