A handy hotel
Plus points: Good breakfast Great location opposite metro/Amtrak station and handy for all the bars/restaurants on King Street Nice large rooms with kitchen area and proper lounge A happy three hours each night with beer at a dollar a go! Negative: Swimming pool was out of action Reception service could have been better
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The metro is a very easy to use with clean trains. Buy a fare card which is a paper Oyster card and charges he fare for each journey. Good Italian take away behind the hotel for a lazy night in

Near D.C. Very Impressive
What a great surprise...just a 15 minute ride on the Metro to DC (after boarding just across the street from the hotel). Woke up....ate the best breakfast in town right in the hotel (included in the price), got back to relax in the hotel and had wine and snacks for a buck before heading out for dinner. The only complaint would be that when people hear this it will be hard to get a room!

Make sure to walk down or take the free shuttle to the water. So much history and beauty. You won’t want to miss it!

Embassy Suites Hotels are always our family’s first choice for out of town stays. Rooms are very comfortable and always clean. Your evening Happy Hour and morning made to order breakfast is always the best!!! WE’ve LOVED YOU in our family for at least 20 years!!!!
