Perfect for our needs

The Hotel San Francisco was the perfect choice for our trip. The room was clean, cool, and had all the utilities we needed. Admittedly the television was stuck on one channel but that didn’t bother us, as the channel was highly amusing. The receptionists are all very friendly and helpful, and the hotel really is situated in a fantastic position in Ronda. However, I would recommend that one person you are travelling with can speak Spanish, otherwise you could struggle a little. You can find everything from walking from the hotel, and it is just behind the main shopping street. The hotel is the perfect choice for people who simply want to store their clothes and have a comfortable place to sleep. Don’t expect wonders from the hotel, but for the price, the hotel is a brilliant place to stay.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Be sure to take the walk, despite how gruelling it can be, from the Church with the Fountain of Eight Taps, down the Old Bridge and up to the Church Santa Marķa la Mayor, and spend some time just drinking in the general beauty. Also, ensure you see the sun setting over the mountains at one of the many look out points in Ronda. The views are incredible.

Great value in a cute hotel!

Great value for a room with comfort and character. Hotel staff was friendly. Overall, this was the best value we received on a hotel during our stay in Spain. Quick walk to all sites, free breakfast, adorable room, and all for a great price! Not a two star hotel for sure!

Traveller's tip on dining

We were in Ronda from Sat-Mon and everything expect tourist stores and tourist restaurants were closed. Made for quite a sleepy town. I’d recommend going during the week to take advantage of less expensive restaurants and a more vibrant scene.

Great Value Beautiful Rooms

We booked this with doubts because the price was low, and after a long bus ride were hoping for a good place. We found the hotel fairly easily- a nice downhill walk from the bus station. We were shocked to find gorgeous rooms with neat balconies and comfortable beds. The desk staff was friendly and spoke English better than my Spanish (not too tough). We got room 303 and it had a really neat feature- a little door that led to a roof patio overlooking Ronda. We stayed only one night to explore other places, but it was a wonderful deal. Breakfast was decent, but with so many options, you could do better. (Coffee was terrible.)

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Don’t miss Calle Espinal around 8-ish. Everyone is out, shops are open and have gorgeous clothes, delicious meats, and gelato.
