Slightly disappointed
Went to this hotel for our wedding and had a superior room which was large and clean. The location is very central. Staff were pleasant but although they knew we were getting married passed no comment - "congratulations" might have been nice! Minimal continental breakfast. There is a bar a few doors away which is a bit noisy in the early hours though the hotel supplies earplugs! Compared to the rest of our trip in Italy this was the most expensive hotel for the least value.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
For a lovely meal eat at Guidos in Vicolo Pier Pettinaio (in a side road by hotel)- 3 courses & coffee about 45 a head + wine. For a budget meal with a huge menu go to Due Porte in Via Stalloreggi. Buses easy to use - take a trip to San Gimignano or Florence from central bus station. Shopping in Siena is just as good as in Florence but seems less expensive
