Ramada Plaza Hotel LAX - El Segundo

Sorry to say but declining in condition.....

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and unfortunately will be the last. The owner’s stinginess is obvious throughout the place; for example in our room there were only two bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth, The carafe was missing from the coffee maker (but staff replaced it immediately). The bar at the cocktail lounge was sparsely stocked, but the bartender was friendly and efficient. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning, and were the only ones doing so When we got the food, it was lukewarm and not very hot. Their website says there is a jacuzzi there, so we were looking forward to it. When we got there they said it was closed "for repairs". An earlier traveler here had posted about it being closed for that reason over a month ago, come on, how long does it take to repair a jacuzzi? So we went out looking for it....and found where it used to be; next to the fitness room, completely and permanently covered over with lounge chairs around it. Certainly not in the process of being repaired! The shuttle service to LAX had it hours cut back, so for our early morning flight we had to hire a taxi. It’s too bad because otherwise this place has two really nice shopping malls nearby, Hermosa Beach is 10-15 minutes away, and the rooms are spacious,.

Please reference two prior reviews (This hotel is a Dump) and the one where the guest uses the valet service and Ramada loses the clothes and the satff and Owner could care less about it. The front staff has a woman that is as cold and indifferent as they come. Don’t expect them to get you at the airport. Their shuttle is for only tours and money making propositions. The restaurant is out of business, the roof leaks, and the only resaturant nearby is a greasy Denny’s. I will say, the shower was good- and since they lack guests, the room was quiet- but the furnishings were old and uncomfortable. This outfit needs an extreme makover and a good start would be with the front desk staff- they seem to have NO CLUE about what customer service is about. Given a choice, I will stay elsewhere.

Stay at double tree inn- costs more but has better services in the area.

this hotel is a dump, they have shuttle service, to the airport, but not available until 6;00 am, too late for us we had to pay a taxi almost $ 20.00 to take us to the airport, the girl at the desk, didnt even care,
