service is disorganized and lousy
It took us 30 - 45 minutes to get into our room even though we had reservations. The hotel is huge and spread out and our room was at the far end of the hotel. When we got our key the desk clerk gave verbal directions to our room. After walking and walking and failing to find the room I returned to the front desk, she gave verbal directions again. We failed again to find the room since I later realized they were wrong. Once again we returned to the front desk and insisted that someone guide us personally to the room. After waiting some more for the security person to show up, he finally was able to help us get to our room. However, he did say he had only been there a month himself and had some trouble finding the room.

Nice on the Bay
I had a pleasant stay. Location: not close to downtown or Berkeley, but, with a car, convenient. I liked the marina setting. Main complaint: no wireless in the rooms, only in the lobby. But lobby was comfortable for sitting with a laptop. Good lappool and jacuzzi. The exercise equipment, especially the weights could be expanded. Overall, happy, and would go again for a night. in Berkeley, especially with the on-line prepaid price option, makes it a better deal than closer locations to Berkeley.
