Very warm welcome
The people running the Secret Garden were lovely and very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, no frills but considering the price we paid we didnt expect any. We were a bit disappointed by the size and state of the pool but overall had a very enoyable stay.

beautiful place!!
we stayed for 6 nights and found the Secret Garden to be ideal!! the location is in a small town outside sorrento but only two stops (approx 10mins) away on the local train line which is very near by. The staff were lovely and very attentive, which contributed to our overall satisfaction!! Would love to return to Sorrento and the Secret Garden would be my no.1 choice. thanks for a great holiday!

Cheap and cheerful B and B but I wont be going back
I did some research (tripadviser and hotels own website) and concluded that this hotel was a good find; it is not expensive and the photos online look nice. We stayed there from 19-21 July 2009. Pros: nice veranda for breakfast, very quiet area, 5 minute walk to train station (and trains about every 10-15 mins), nice bathroom. Cons: photos online are somewhat misleading and so the hotel did not meet our expectations. You get what you pay for, I suppose. Some facts: (1) this is a B&B, run by a nice family - indeed, the reception is the family lounge (2) the pool is quite small (3) room 3 doesnt have any windows, it has a skylight that can be reached by a 6 ft tall person standing on the bed (4) rooms have air-con but it is centrally controlled (5) Piano is dead, and Sorrento is not a noisy place to stay (contrary to what the Rough Guide says). We moved to another hotel in Sorrento after 2 nights at the Secret Garden. Indeed Sorrento is an absolutely lovely place to stay.
