A bit dated !
Staff very good but hotel is showing its age a wear and tear ! Very good swimming pool though. Food all a bit ’iffy’ - especially the al a carte restaurant although poolside cafe was pretty good. A scramble for breakfast with a multitude of others ! Surrounding area a bit run down and looks like holidaying in the 80’s.

Much improved bedrooms.
The recent modernisation of the bedrooms has resulted in excellent improved accommodation. New flat screen televisions, excellent beds and duvets,impressive lighting, comfortable pillows, and even the air conditioning seems to be better than previously. First class a la carte lunches, but buffet style dinners still need improving, particularly main courses.

Nice hotel in a great location
Hotel is big and has everything you need to have a good holiday. Ideal for all ages as it has many pool areas, a kids club, a pool bar, a quieter pool area and an area next to the sea. The sea is quite rough but there are two pools there and many sun lounges. The breakfast is good and plenty and there is a great restaurant on the sea. Loved it there, spent the whole weekend dining lunch and dinner at very good prices. The hotel has its own casino and was two floors down from our room. Rooms are a comfortable size, note there are newer rooms but we were placed in the older part but were upgraded to a sea view and it had a large veranda. Travelling to Malta a third time in a year i much prefered Qarwa as a summer location in Malta. Very nice to walk to the town square which has restaurants and shops. Ideal for couples and families. Stayed in St Julians and Paceville before and found it more noisy and for the younger crowd. Valetta is a 45 minute bus ride and so cheap, avoid taxis.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Use the bus in the summer months much more cheaper. Taxi from the airport is at a fixed rate but negotiate with the taxi driver to pick you up from the hotel to take you back to the airport at a lower rate. We paid 26 Euros from the airport to Qarwa and only 20 Euros back.
