solid choice/ great location
terrific location on the main waterfront area called bryggen. walk out your door into a charming recreated fishing village with shops, restaurants, fish market. the beds/room were clean and comfortable. the free breakfast was wonderful. all traveller amenities are there. this appears to be a popular choice with business travellers but that doesn’t detract from its attractiveness to the leisure traveller. the shuttle to the airport leaves from the front door. we really enjoyed our short stay there

bryggeloftet located down the street is a terrific restaurant. original norwegian food in a lively norwegian atmosphere. had traditional (kinda) meal of carpaccio of whale and salted cod.

Not impressed
It was all a bit tatty really. The TV looked about 15yrs old. There were no ironing facilities in the room and the lighting was complicated; I could either haev all the lights on or all the lights off. Worst of all the sauna wasn’t working. Other than that the food and service was excellent, and the airport bus stopped right outside.
