just one small thing!

everything about hotel, staff and breakfast was great. the "one small thing" was that we paid extra for an exec room and had plenty of space but they decided to put kingsize bed about 6 inches from the wall on one side. no bedside table. consequently i put my phone under the pillow because i like to see the time if i wake up (which is often) then in the morning left without it. oops! yes i know i’m partly to blame, but was inconvenient.

the hotel is tired

The hotel is in a good location on the waterfront-a steep walk up into the city, but nice and quiet. It looks good from the outside but it is a tired building, very 1980’s. The rooms are functional but dated and drab. That is OK in a budget hotel, but this is pricey and you should get more for this money. I’ll try Charlotte House next time.

No longer Marriott

This hotel is now a Holiday Inn. The staff was in complete disaray with all the changes in ownership. I was very disappointed in that I was not told of the change in ownership prior to my arrival.
