Impressive - Recommended for a short stay.
This hotel was the business. Very highly recommended. We had three nights, just about enough as it allowed us to see New Territories (take MTR to Fanling to see Taoist Temple and walled cities. Also, walk through the riverside park behind the hotel to the Museum of Culture. Walk out also to the immediate surroundings of the hotel - zillions of shops of course, too modern for us, but we were also in Kowloon for a week so did the essential markets and back streets of Mong Kok. But between the shops around the hotel there are wide spaces and areas to sit and relax, with the cultural complex and even a Snoopy Experience! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the hotel (mind you, be sure not to phone home from room of course, very expensive); buy a phone card in Hong Kong. Nothing was a trouble to them and the standard of the room and service gave this stay a high value for money tag. We paid what we found, given the quality, to be a very good price for three nights for three adults in the one room. With Expedia this included all taxes - this hotel did not add on anything. If you want to go online via your lap-top, reception charge you 100 dollars (£9) for 24 hours protected broadband. Again, value. HK is always busy, but for a few nights this hotel works as peace with ready access. Recommended.

Great value hotel but a bit of a communte to Hong Kong Island.
We chose this hotel based on its lower price, great reviews and easy access to the city. On all accounts it was exactly that. It is a bit of a trip, easy to make, out of town and so it isnt ideal for late nights where you only want to fall into bed. Other than that we found it a great international hotel.

Convenient hotel in Shatin
We visited this hotel before as its extremely convenient as its linked to a big modern shopping mall which is linked to the MTR train station so you can be in Kowloon within 20-30 minutes or Causeway Bay (HK island) within 30-40 minutes. Location wise, its in the city but close to a nice park. The swimming pool is overlooked by apartments but not overlooked by anything else. Depending on which side your room is facing, it can be facing the park or a block of residential apartment block. We stayed high up so noise wasnt a concern. The rooms are up to date, clean and the climate control is spot on. Highly recommended if youre looking for a city break that not too overcrowded like it is in Kowloon.
