Comfort and Friendliness are number one at the Bayview

Then hotel is located across form the park which gives the park side rooms a great view. The rooms are very clean and have a step up area with comfortable chairs with a nice sized table between them. The hotel has all of the amenities one would need and probably the friendliest hotel staff I have ever had the pleasure to be involved with. The front desk was not only there to assist with checkin but was always there to assist with any need. The concierge was the most helpful gentleman I have ever encountered and were more like friends never missing a beat. The breakfast buffet was great and was greeted by a very pleasant young lady each morning always with a smile. The food on the menu and the room service menu are the same and the food is excellent with better than normal service. Management of this hotel should be very proud of its staff and hotel.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

If you only have a few days in Melbourne and don’t want to drive you can ride the tram which is only 1 block from the hotel. It only costs $6.80 for all day with other options and you can get anywhere in a shot period of time without waiting. The concierge has city tram maps with all of the sites and tram routes.

Not Central

Ideal for us we had a hire car - free parking and easy to find but the hotel was away from Central Melbourne. 15 minute tram ride to Flinders Station. Very good restaurant and very comfortable hotel.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

don’t miss Phillip Island and the Penguins

Excellent value, our 1st choice in Melbourne.

Opposite Albert Park and with distant views of Port Phillip Bay.(ask for room with this view). First class staff and facilities. Tram to city & St Kilda 5 mins walk. Would return without question.
