beauty in the rough
beautiful hotel tucked in the city, great customer service,nice bar,great restaurant,luxurious beds with great sheets and comforter,awesome plants and foilage makes you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. This was our first stop in Costa Rica on our way to Quepos and Manuel Antonio waited to catch a plane out the next day. We met a couple on there way to San Jose at our hotel in Manuel Antonio who said the hotel we were staying at recommended the Beacon so we told them everything about your beautiful hotel and all the good things they could expect.

Not that great
I wasn’t that impressed with my recent stay. It was located in what appeared to be a seedy neighborhood and overall feel was not great. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was very nice. However, the room itself left something to be desired. Our door faced the restaurant/bar, so when we were trying to go to sleep we could hear all the patrons quite loudly. Also for those who want a bit more privacy in their bathroom this is not the place for you. If I were to return to San Jose I would not stay here again.

Excelent Hotel
I stayed at the Beacon Escazu with my wife, they have a geat service, everyone there is very kind and the hotel is great.
