HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
This hotel is normally one of the nicest hotel in Santo Domingo and located in a good area, but they have the worst management. First of all none of the employers who works in the hotel especially in the reception area treats you like you did something bad to them. Another thing the security is so scarey and impolite, hey make you feel like constantly you are doing something bad. Another things i stayed there recently, as a shame eventhough i was stayin g in this hotel i was able to use my laptop with another near by hotels wireless connection, because this hotell ridiculously was charging you internet connection fee in YEAR 2009 where almost everywhere there is wireless connection available. Worst than that, eventhough you pay the fee, the connection is so bad that i dont know what there are charging for. Overall i would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Not Impressed
I have just returned from Santo Domingo and the Melia hotel. Although it is a Business hotel of around 4 stars I would like to warn any person buying the rooms at the lower price that, the lower priced rooms, unlike any other hotel, are situated on the third floor, many overlook the roof with plenty of busy machineries making noise all night and the other side onto the entrance of the casino and the car park which is busy and noisy until early in the morning. The service is slow 40 minutes for a cup of coffee in the room. I would only go back there if they meet up with the 4 stars that are advertising

Bad hotel to stay
Room was dirty and old furniture. Bathroom was really disgusting. Even the smell of carpets was bad.
