romantic hotel, perfect location
disappointed the pool/sauna was closed due to renovations, service is very friendly

A truly five star hotel
The Grand is the place to stay when in Amsterdam. It is not too big, giving it an intimate feeling. I enjoyed the low key staff, the excellent room that felt more like a home bedroom with the advantage of not having to do any home bedroom chores. I am sorry that I could stay only one night.....

If you want jackhammers...
This hotel is undergoing major internal renovations. It is billed as a 5-star luxury hotel, but we got jackhammers first thing in the morning. The pool is closed. I suspect they hope you will go out all day and so won’t notice. The staff, to be fair, came good with a quieter room, once we complained - well, after we complained a few times.
