Great, but needing some updating and repairs

A good hotel in a great location, but the Melrose is certainly starting to show some signs of wear. Plenty of scuff marks on the wall near the door and a toilet paper dispenser hanging on by just a few threads of a screw were the main items in need of some repair in the room. Parking (valet only when I visited) is expensive. Otherwise, everything else was fine and the staff was polite and professional. The room was spacious and everything seemed pretty clean.

Won’t go back

We had previously stayed at the Melrose; not again. My Expedia itinerary included a free bkfst; they did not have a record of this (I still have the itinerary that states it is included!); the Wi-Fi did not work all weeekend in the room; we had to go to the lobby, not the business center to get internet--very inconvenient. And I think we got charged for it!! (After the desk said we would not be chargeD!) next time we will stay at Embassy Suites.
