The hotel was excellent with good parking, easy access to major roads etc but far enough off the beaten track to give a sense of isolation from the day to day. Food was very good from the onsite pub which also sold good ales. Fast friendly service from staff is also a point to mention. Only one disappointment for my partner and myself was the sauna and steam rooms were in separate male / female changing areas thus preventing us sharing relaxation and enjoyment of the facilities together.

Book penthouse rooms if after the Balcony Rooms
Hotel was lovely, but we were expecting to have a balcony and lovely estuary view by what we had read on the hotels.com web site. Instead we had a room with no balcony and that was very hot, so we opened the window to find we looked out onto a very busy road, which was also very noisy. The staff were very good at the hotal and we did manage to have an enjoyable break. They explained they only have 6 bedrooms with the balcony and excellent views.

Very comfortable
Long walk from reception to rooms - no balcony - which I was expecting for some reason. Bit difficult to find but very nice setting once you get there. Would use it again - good value for money.
