The ’Pink’ Hotel Haga Kristineberg

As a regular traveller to stockholm on business I have stayed in many hotels from budget to expensive. This is a regular favourite of mine as it offers all you need at a great price. Don’t be put off by outside appearance and pink colour! The hotel is a short walk, 3mins to a tube station and the journey to T-centralen takes 15mins. It offers a good standard breakfast, comfortable rooms with ensuite and friendly staff on reception. There is also a pool table room and sauna. There is not much around the hotel to see/do/eat as it is situated in a quiet residential area, but 2 stops back towards the city on the tube to friedhemsplan provides places to eat etc. I usually eat in town after work and then head out to the hotel last of all. I recommend this hotel for the regular business traveller on a budget needing a comfy bed and good breakfast with easy access to the city by tube.

Over-priced but convenient

This hotel does what it says on the tin: it’s conveniently located close to city centre (5 mins by metro) and short walk to metro station Kristeneberg. The single room was tiny but comfortable while the breakfast was sufficient. I would stay there again merely for the convenience.

Commuter hotel

Most of the hotels I stay in are right downtown. The Kristneberg is more out in the suburbs, though very close to a T-bana stop. It was also closer (two tram stops away) to Drottningholm Palace than any hotel downtown. Bottom line, only stay here if you are willing to take the T-bana where you need to go. The room itself was comfortable and larger than most I’ve stayed in in Europe. The hotel is a little older as well, but not in any way shabby.
