Poorly Managed
This was a very nice hotel with an excellent location, just a block from downtown. However, it is an expensive hotel and the service was poor. The first morning they failed to provide the breakfast and the last morning it was not there by the time we left at 8am. The room had not been vacuumed when we arrived (food on the carpets) and after complaining twice it still was never vacuumed. It is a very nice hotel, but poorly managed. Also, there is nobody on site from 7PM until 8-9am.

Great location
Very good location right in the middle of Newport,so could walk to restuarants in the evenings.Suite well appointed and kitchen well equipt.Breakfast was a bit limited .Only problem was at night at the weekend we were kept awake by the bass sound coming from a local night club that kept going till about 1 am .
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Had a nice meal at 22 Bowen Quay.Best steak we have had for a long time . We really enjoyed visiting the Newport Mansions -best value was the ticket for 5,which is valid indefinetely .e also took the trolley sight seeing tour which gave a good overall insight to the area .
