Clean...but a bit run down
they say it’s a 4 star hotel...but that may have been 30 years ago. it was clean....but all a bit old and cheap. the mattress was a bit hard. they do have a good breakfast. you have to leave a 10 euro deposit to have access to the remote control for the TV....i thought this was a bit odd....for what is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. i’d say it’s a 2 star hotel.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Rent your car from Hasso. much less expensive and includes insurance. drive to the different beaches on the island...one of our favorites was Sant Elmo.

Hurting in the economic slump
The hotel was very empty and it was apparent that they were in difficulty. The AC system for the entire hotel was turned off. This required leaving the balcony door open. Since smoking is very common in Europe, everyone smoking on their balconies caused the room to stink.

Thumb up to Cala Mayor Hotel
The Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner a fantastic treat. A variety of choices of food for all taste. I was very impressed with the service at the restaurant. The staff worked hard to accomodate you. The rooms were nice and clean. The pool needed a little bit of attention. But overall I will definetely will go back. We had a good experience. It was difficult to find the hotel no signs from the main road. They need to put up a sign it will help to find the hotel the first time.
A must to rent a car to see this beautiful Island of Mallorca.
