Cosy Quaint Find, Will Be Coming Back Again
The staff were excellent and friendly, even though we checked-in at 10pm in the evening. We stayed in the Elm family room, which stated a maximum of 3ppl occupancy, but were pleasantly surprised to find two v.comfy double beds (so can easily fit 4 adults). The main hotel was furnished tastefully, and fitting for the period of the house. The terraced gardens looked v.well kept and overlooked the valley, and our only regret was not to venture out the next day, as we needed to be elsewhere in Newcastle. Breakfast was well cooked and delicious. We will be definitely coming back again, as it makes a perfect base to see friends&family, as well as venturing into Newcastle (only 15min by taxis)

Brilliant Food
Stayed for one night and found the staff to be so friendly. The food was absolutely superb at their 2 courses for £18.50 was more than worth it. Just a shame I didn’t have room for dessert. Would definitely stay again.
