Ideal for Sheffield and good quality

This is a smart hotel with decent facilities, within walking distance of most of Sheffield’s attractions. We stayed there for one night while going to a gig at Sheffield Arena. Got a good deal on Expedia. The room was spacious - a twin with one double and one single bed. Decent flat screen TV and a clean bathroom. The staff were polite and non-intrusive. Be careful with the parking. There’s a multi-storey nearby and the charges can escalate. The desk give you a token for this and they told us it was only a few pounds, but it worked out at well over £10 for 24 hours. There’ll no doubt be some cheaper options nearby. It was secure and clean though. Didn’t eat at the hotel, but the restaurant and bar were tidy and inviting.

Nice and Convenient

This is a pretty new hotel that is near to the city centre. Room is great ... roomy and comfortable. However, restaurant was a little pricey for the amount of food

Will be using Jurys Inns again - mega-impressed

Pros: The hotel is clean and well presented, pleasant with great views out to the hills (at least from one side). The staff are friendly and professional. The room was clean and well turned out, the bed was very comfortable. Conference facilities were fabulous and we got a lot of work done. The cons, such as they were, are few and far between: There is no room service, not that I ever use it. The hi-speed internet is extra and a little pricey and there is no late food so bear that in mind if arriving after 11pm. Oh and the bar serves a good pint of guinness - dangerous :)

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

If you can get a 3G dongle for internet access rather than using the hotel’s broadband. If travelling by train book at least 3 weeks ahead for major savings. There is a car park across the road, not sure what they charge though.
