Renovations still in progress; would wait to see results
Was led to believe that renovations were completed but, in fact, major construction was ongoing during the visit. I have no doubt this will one day be a decent B&B in the heart of Cambridge but needs another several months. A follow-up parking permit request was also poorly handled (i.e. lost) bringing into question the staffs organisation. However, continental breakfast was lovely.

Great location, shame about the service
Not at all what I exected from a Cambridge guest house. Owners/managers made no effort to get to know us-indeed they hardly bothered speaking to us! The rooms were small, cramped and in need of redecoration. Not good value for just under 70 quid.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If weather is reasonable you might want to walk along a lovely riverside route to the delightful village of Granchester. Allow about half an hour for a gentle stroll. We had a nice pub lunch at the Rupert Brooke but you might want to try the famous tea rooms.

Good location
The Guest House was adequate and fulfilled the requirements, however we were a bit baffled regarding breakfast, as it stated full breakfast rather than Continental we were rather surprised that no one informed us of the fact, we were not offered toast or had the facility to make toast, the service was too discrete.!
