The hotel was awesome
We had a suite (it was our honeymoon). They gave us some free stuff (probably because it was our honeymoon), including champagne and fresh fruit on a couple of occasions. The suite had two bathrooms, one of which was just a half-bath, and the other had a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Since it was between seasons, some of the restaurants in the hotel were not open, or were only open on weekends. Most of the restaurants in the hotel were pretty expensive, so we ate most of our meals in the nearby Lake Louise Village or in Banff. But we did really enjoy one fancy dinner in the Walliser Stube wine bar. The food was awesome, but probably the most expensive restaurant Ive ever eaten at (and paid for myself).
You can save some money on meals by eating in the Lake Louise Village, which is about 4 or 5 miles from the Chateau. But in general, everything is more expensive there than what youre probably used to.

Nice but BIG Hotel
The hotel is very nice, but it is big! Its alot bigger that what I expected. It almost felt like a hotel in Las Vegas. Its the only hotel on the lake though. It was really nice to stroll by the lakeside after dinner. Also, there are great trailheads practically right outside for excursions during the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check out the horseback riding and the teahouse at Lake Agnes...they were certainly highlights on our trip.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Please be aware that once you are there, everything is very expensive! Theres not alot of economical options, so expect to spend on food, etc. To cut expenses a little bit, there is a "mall" down the road with a little grocery store. We picked up snacks, etc. so we didnt have to eat at a restaurant for every meal. Also, the hotel charges $25/day for parking. There is a public parking area just a little further walk than the garage. If I went back, Id check into parking there instead.
