Complete relaxation
I had a wonderful 4 day stay as a lone traveller at the Tivoli Victoria. The room was immaculate, I arrived early and wanted to wait for the room I booked (golf view sunn balcony). I was by the pool within moments, and the sun loungers and beds are comfortable and plentiful. All staff were polite and friendly, I was particularly impressed by the waiters and waitresses, my first time travelling alone and was made to feel completely at home when dining but was also given lot’s of quality attention to detail. Food was excellent, I did not have lunch but breakfasts plentiful and delicious, dinners beautiful. Food prices ok, drink prices about average for 5 star. Vilamoura is lovely for a short break - the beach lovely but quiet, roman ruins worth a visit just behind marina, and the marina itself is fascinating. I’d go again tomorrow - and stay here. Stayed at the Hilton last time, which I would also recommend, but of the two this offered the better view and better room - but only just, I’d happily return to both. Yes, you are some distance from the marina - but I like to be away from it all and pick and choose when I see lots of other people. Go, you won’t regret it. I was very stressed before going but was chilled within hours of my arrival.

Lovely Hotel - 8/10
A great place to stay and fantastic value. You need a car though as it is a fair distance from the town and no shops within walking distance. The breakfast is great and service in the restaurant is very good in the morning. The rest of the hotel staff are very helpful and polite but sometimes lack the necessary skills required in a 5star hotel. Rooms are modern and very clean. Swimming Pool area is very chic and trendy. Great views over the Oceanico Golf course. It is a new hotel but there are some areas that need maintenance and have yet to be attended to, particularly around the Banyan Tree Spa roof terrace. With Spa Treatments at 150 euros a go.....this needs to be addressed. Would recommend the hotel though.

Mini bar is a bit expensive - small chocolate bar is 4.50 euros!!

good hotel
lovely hotel, excellent staff. breakfast was superb but the down side was the price of drinks . small glass of beer 3.50 and an american coffee,nescafe 5.00euro.restaurant was v good and reasonably priced compared with the restaurants in the marina. would go back.
