VERY NICE HOTEL, not so great city.
Was at the Mansour about 2 weeks ago (June 2009)... This is a very nice hotel that did the trick... There is not much to see or do in Casa but this is a central location and least provides some feel for being in Morocco. The much more expesive and typical could be anywhere Hyatt is one block to the right, and the Sheraton is one block to the left... If you are looking to go out and dont want to cab it over to Ain-Diab along the water those two hotels provide some bars/clubs and def check out La Bodega around corner from the Sheraton... The Meridien hotel drinks, internet, and other things are very expensive BUT the the staff was freindly and helpful with maps, pointers, directs ect ect ect... English was not a problem.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
About Casa in general: Im glad I heeded the advice of others and only spent one night in Casa before moving onto the "real Morocco"... In Casa, get a drink at Ricks, walk along the Corniche for a drink or dinner (The Ain-Diab area, not near the Hassan Mosque) and thats about it... And forget the Casa Medina, its nothing like those of Fes or Marrakech...

The hotel deserves less than average
It was the first time to stay in this hotel and the last time; really it was one of my worst stays. In all rooms the air-conditioning not working properly, the reception and restaurants area very warm. You can see most people are sweating because heat and lack of ventilation. In addition the food & beverage prices are extremely high compared to quality provided
