Good hotel, but lacking lift/disabled access facilities
Can’t fault the hotel at all, other than the lack of access for pushchairs/wheel chairs as even to get to first floor rooms requires access via steps. Room was clean and modern, the bathroom of a good standard. The receptionist who dealt with us on arrival needs to work on his interpersonal skills - he was abrupt and offhand to the point of rudeness and his disdain for the "English" was rather apparent. Other members of staff at breakfast however, were friendly and helpful.

Great service - recommend for families
Used the Novotel to break up the journey back to St Malo from the South. The staff were very helpful even finding a home for our 2 rooftop bikes for the night. Room comfortable with 2 adults and 2 small children. Very clean, as you expect from Novotel. Also has a play room for younger kids which came in very useful. Location is great for a short stopover being very close to a shopping mall including a huge Carrefour, McDonalds, Intersport etc. Perfect for stocking up on wine before the final push home.

Good food Ideal location for shopping But watch out for the springs on the sofa bed
A conveniently placed hotel on the outskirts of Rennes, next to a large shopping centre. Easy to find along the Rennes ring road. This hotel has good potential for any person needing a stop over on route to or from the Port of St Malo . A smallish hotel two floors. NOTE NO LIFT to upper floor, Yet has Handicap lift to restaurant/café bar. Excellent food in restaurant with efficient, courteous staff. The room we stayed in was # 148, which had a double bed along with a sofa bed which divided into two single beds. These sofa beds have been VERY USED and extremely uncomfortable with the springs about to breakthrough the mattress. So be warned should you require the use of a sofa bed.
