loud bar next door
there is a very loud bar next door which rocked till 1:30 am hotel had very few people in it .they could have put us in a room on the other side but they were to stupid to do that i quess the hotel has to know about that bar and the loud music that comes from it i was very disapointed and will neve go there again all they needed to do was use a little common sense and all this could have been avoided.

Beautiful hotel, great location, wonderful prices, and ***** Hotel Service!
Would stay again anytime! Lodging staff well trained on providing superb, friendly service. The stay couldn’t have been better for my wife and me. Kudos to the valets for always catching the front doors and helping with umbrellas and directions. We travel 4-6 times per year and typically stay in 4-star hotels, so we are quite familiar with what to expect. The Wyvern is cut way above the 4-star competion and their lodging prices were outstanding! Great value for the dollars.Everything in the hotel is brand new and sparkling and we will stay there again when we return to Punta Gorda.
Traveller's tip on dining
Wear sweater at breakfast when restaurant is frigid. Half the visable restaurant staff very cheerful but extremely long table absenses. Coffee served individually (~3 cups pots) - very nice touch. Bravo managers/owners! Second waitperson never spoke or approached, the papers she was working on must have been very important. Gentle reminder: at restaurants of this caliber - CUSTOMERS first! Breakfasts were excellent, fairly priced, and prepared non-traditionally. Thank you Chef!

Outstanding
This is truly a gem. We can’t wait to go back. The rooms were first class as well as the service and restaurant! Friendly, new, clean, personable-simply the best!
