Great historic B&B in the heart of old San Antonio
I arrived at Arbor House as the last stop on a brief two week tour of US and just in time for the end of the Fiesta. Accommodation was lovely and well maintained. Whilst lacking some of the mod-cons that the more soulless hotel chains are able to offer, there was a real sense of history about the place with lots of original features. This B&B is something to enjoy and has its own atmosphere to enjoy. It is far more than a mere base for exploring San Antonio. In addition, grounds provide a welcome oasis from the hustle of downtown. Owners wonderfully hospitable and friendly and provided information about the festival (and complimntary tickets to Niosa and the parades) which greatly improved our stay and made it more enjoyable than otherwise. Highly recommended.
Traveller's tip on dining
Instead of heading straight to Riverwalk and downtown for dinner, Rosario’s (and others) south of downtown provides great food at a reasonable price in a warm friendly atmosphere more frequented by locals than by tourists.

Great place to stay
The owner and manager are very helpful and friendly, dealt with our changing arrival times with ease and graciousness. The breakfast was wonderful, delivered to our door as promised. We could eat at our leisure, enjoying the lovely morning out on our balcony. Couln’t ask for a more relaxing stay. Thank you!

Cozy Quiet Place
Good location from great restaurants and the River walk. Was expecting a sit down breakfast was disappointed that it was a continental style breakfast. We were also disappointed with the robes that they offered they were old and dirty one of them had what looked like blood and coffee stains on it would recommend that the owners purchase new ones. Over all a nice place would stay again and would recommend to friends & family.
