I give The Nines a 10.
Our stay was fabulous. The staff was very friendly and we even received an assortment of chocolates and a hand written card for our anniversary. Very lovely. If you can afford to get a room that faces outside so you have a city view. The inside rooms can be a tiny bit noisy but it gets quiet around 10pm which is no big deal. We will definitely stay there again.

The Epicenter of Portland
The Nines has absolutely the best location possible in Portland. It is situated in the heart of downtown, on the Pioneer Square in a gorgeous historic building above the Macy`s store. Absolutely convenient to get around town, to and from the airport; both the MAX and the Portland streetcar cross paths at the Nines. The area is vibrant, pedestrian friendly, surrounded by shopping, cafes, restaurants. For a person who travels 50% of their time on business and has stayed at various hotels around the World, I can say the Nines is among the best. Hotel lobby and restaurant/bar - awesome contemporary atmosphere, the view from the rooftop " Departure" lounge - fantastic, rooms - all luxurious, comfy beds, furniture - brand new and modern. Try it!

Amazing hotel
Amazing hotel and amazing location!! Our room overlooked the center hotel atrium. 40 min ride on the max to the hotel. The stop was right out front. Definitely recommend this place.
