Not Worth the Convenient Location
This facility was recently remodeled and presents a modern updated tidy interior appearance but lacks creature comforts. My husband & I were guests for 4 nights and I had to call every day and request additional bath linens as they barely provided enough for 1 guest. After no response to one of the calls, my husband went out into the hallway and obtained linens from the housekeeping cart. Additionally, the bed was extremely uncomfortable - definitely not a restful sleep. The bath sink was slow to drain, yet the problem was not addressed after we advised the staff. On a minor note, unlike most hotels, complimentary coffee was only available in the lobby during morning hours, but in fact was not good anyway. The standard yucky in-room coffee makers were the only choice off hours.
Traveller's tip on dining
Try the Sugar Beet Cafe located east of Asheville for Eggs Benedict like youve never imagined. Craving pizza & beer? Drive over to Black Mountain to eat at joint called My Fathers Pizza. Prefer South of the Border? Try Papas & Beer Family Mexican Restaurant on Tunnel Blvd.

Very noisy hotel!
It was clean, it had a big screen TV, it was centrally located but.... The noise level was ridiculous. I was glad when the couple next door were older and just talking. I heard everything they were saying when the big screen tv was off. I heard their plans for hte day, when they used the bathroom, what they were watching on t.v.. Since i was travelling with my 12 year old, I was glad and felt lucky that I didnt have a loud love making couple next door as we would have heard EVERYRTHING. I will not go back jus t because of this one issue.
Stay next door at the Renaissance hotel, instead.
