Very odd smell in the room!
We booked this hotel for 1 night during our drive down highway 1. We had seen the mixed reviews but decided to still book in there as it was the most reasonably priced hotel in the area. Unfortunately, the reviews about the rooms smelling very strongly of cleaning products were absoliutely right! The smell was so overpowering it made us feel pretty ill! And even having the windows open didnt help. When we woke up in the morning i went to have a shower but couldnt turn on the water. When i tried, the pipes just made a horrendously loud noise and no water came out! Not great! Overall, this hotel is fine if you can put up with the strong smelling chemicals and not washing!
Take a drive to Cannery Row, and to Pacific Grove to watch the sunset. Absolutely beautiful! And the Pebble Beach, 17 mile Drive is completely worth the entry fee.

Decent Hostel, poor service
If you don’t mind practically non existent service and people making noise unitl 1 a.m. this is not a bad hostel...the rooms are clean and neat and comfortable.

Good clean room to rest and relax.
Great hotel that has all you need plus everything feels and looks clean. No extra frills but not needed when you can get out and about. Not much information in the hotel but things to do in LA.
