Nice Hotel Away From the Beach
Clean, comfortable hotel. Not a lot to do nearby unless you like the few small boutiques right outside the door. The Cheesecake Factory is part of the building. Good for events. Takes about 5-10 minutes by car to get to the beach/other shopping areas. Older TV in room and no wireless internet access/signal (at least in my room). Staff very friendly, housekeeping very clean.

SECOND TIME AROUND
MY FIRST STAY AT THE HOTEL WAS IN 2003 IN THE OLDER PART OF THE HOTEL. MY ROOM WAS NICE THEN, HOWEVER ON THIS TRIP I STAYED IN THE EXECUTIVE TOWER WITH A BALCONY AND VIEW OF THE CITY, RIVER & POOL ON THE 10TH FLR. THE ART FESTIVAL WAS HELD THE WEEKEND THAT I WAS THERE, SO I COULD EVEN LOOK DOWN THE STREET AT SOME OF THE VENDORS ARTWORK. IF YOU CAN, MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO BE THERE WHEN THEY HAVE THE ART FESTIVAL. IT WOULD REALLY BE WORTH YOUR WHILE. THEY HAVE ALL KINDS OF ARTWORK AND IT IS TRULY PHENOMENAL. I ALSO HAD A BIRDS EYE VIEW WHEN IT CAME TO WATCHING SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL YACHTS PASS UP AND DOWN THE RIVER APPROXIMATELY EVERY 2 MINUTES. I COULD EVEN SEE THE CRUISE SHIPS FROM AFAR AT THE PIER AND THE PLANES LAND A TAKE-OFF FROM THE AIRPORT. THE VIEW OF THE CITY IS JUST AWESOME DURING THE DAY OR EVENING. 2 FLOORS BELOW WAS A RECEPTION ON THE PATIO SATURDAY EVENING, SO I HAD THE PLEASURE OF BEING SERENADED BY THEIR MUSICIAN WHILE HE PERFORMED THAT EVENING. THE POOL IS VERY NICE AND YOU CAN EVEN WATCH THE YACHTS AND BOATS PASS BY WHILE SUNBATHIG. WHENEVER I RETURN, I WILL ASK TO BE IN THE EXECUTIVE TOWER WITH THE SAME VIEW. I CANT WAIT TO RETURN..
I WAS ONLY THERE FOR 4 DAYS. I HAD LUNCH AT THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY NEXT DOOR. MANGOS DOWN THE STREET IS REALLY NICE. THEY HAVE GREAT SEAFOOD. I DINED AL FRESCO AT THE SAMBA ROOM ONE EVENING WHICH WAS REALLY NICE. MANCINCIS DOWN THE STREET ALWAYS HAS LUNCH SPECIALS, AND OF THE COURSE THE LUNCH MENU AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANT INDIGO WAS REALLY NICE.

Great location but uncomfortable beds
The hotel has an excellent location. Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable , the room was small and there was significant street noise. We stayed in the original part of the hotel, maybe the accommodations in the new tower are better.
